“for once I think the Moriarty name came under dressed”
Pasi breathed and frowned, though he glanced at his dad who looked a bit annoyed to actually be under dressed.
” At least you’re wearing a tie.” Pasi mumbled, looking at his shirt.” I think first we’re changing.” pasi announced, turning Jen around by her waist and ushering her back into the TARDIS, Jim following right behind.
” I can’t believe you weren’t aware of this.” Jim muttered leading the way. He’d been there once before and he knew the way…if pasi hadn’t changed it as he had with the console.
“You guys look perfectly fine,” Jen sighed, allowing herself to be pulled back into the TARDIS. “Not everybody was dressed up.” To be honest, she didn’t even know what she was going to wear. Sure, she could put together outfits, but not the types of outfits the women at the show were wearing! Jen crossed her arms over her chest, watching the other two panic over their choice of clothing.
Pasi grinned at Jen’s enthusiasm and nodded.
Jim had gotten up from his seat as well and straightened himself out, waiting for Pasi and Jen to lead the way. He had, over the years, acquired a bit of a superstitious believe regarding the TARDIS.
If something could go wrong … It would.Pasi opened the doors to the TARDIS, walking out into a rather crowded hall. To everyone there it would appear as if the three had come out of a broom closet.
” wow it’s really full…more than I would think for a flower show.” pasi commented. ” and posh.” he added, seeing some of the extravagantly dressed visors, though others were a bit more modestly dressed.
“It’s lovely!” Jen commented, clearly in awe of the other attendees. There was no doubt, at this point, that she was going to enjoy this show. Her eyes wandered around the room, watching the lavishly dressed people passing by; for once in her life, she felt under-dressed. “Where should we start?”
Jim pouted a bit, but went ahead and sat besides Jen.
” I really wish you’d let your father teach you how to be a proper driver.” Jim mumbled to pasi, gasping a bit as the TARDIS gave another violent jerk.
“I drive just fine.” Pasi replied, though the TARDIS soon came to a stop.
” here we are. Everyone alright?” he asked, looking at Jen and Jim, who looked a bit pale from all that jerking.
It was silent for a moment, Jen slowly brushing a stray lock of hair from her face. “I’m fine,” she finally answered, glancing to her side at Jim, who looked less than thrilled about the entire situation. She shrugged it off. After all, he’d agreed to come along for her birthday, what more could she ask for?
Jen hopped up from her seat, hurrying over to stand by Pasi’s side, and link her arm around his again. “Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go!” she said with a bright smile. She was practically bouncing with excitement.
Pasi practically bounced out of the TARDIS and around the side of the building to Jen’s door, knocking in a very distinctive manner.
“Oh. Uhm… Thank you,” Jen answered as she took the box, staring down at it with obvious surprise. She’d honestly not expected that he’d actually give her anything. She looked back up at Jim, giving him a sincere smile. “Give me just a moment. I’ll put this away, and we can get going,” she said, disappearing back into her bedroom for barely a minute to put the present away.
Jen hurried back out to them, grabbing her keys off of the counter along the way. “So. Shall we be on our way, then?”
“Yes mam,” Pasi said, grinning like a Cheshire cat and offering her his arm. Jim simply rolled his eyes at the young love affection and breathed an ” oh god,” under his breath before starting his way back to the TARDIS. Pasi simply chuckled and shook his head. ” As if he’s never had moments with my Father,” He sneered, ” They’ve had more dates than a calendar.”
Once the three had made it back into the TARDIS, and gotten over Jim’s multiple complaints about having the chameleon circuit choose something a bit more pleasant as a disguise, Pasi put in the coordinates.
“Saturn Colony, 3015 July 14! Flower Show here we go. ah, rhymed a bit there.”
“Is it just something about the console that makes everyone sound like The Doctor?” Jim mumbled, Pasi simply looking at his father before abruptly hitting the start, spitefully making sure his Da stumbled. ” hold on.” Pasi added after, being a little prick.
Jen happily linked her arm around Pasi’s, mostly ignoring Jim’s grumbling. It wasn’t really unknown to her that Jim didn’t approve of their relationship, but he was at least being nice. She could deal with a little grumbling. “Maybe he’s just rolling his eyes about how cheesy you are,” she snickered, using her free hand to poke his arm.
She took her seat in the corner that Gideon usually sat in when he traveled with them, grinning when Pasi announced their destination. It was oddly amusing watching the small exchange between Jim and Pasi, especially when he started the TARDIS, causing his father to stumble. Jen shook her head, forcing back a small laugh as she nodded to the empty spot next to her. “You can sit, if you like,” she told Jim. Sitting generally made the ride go a bit smoother, for her anyways.
